Mark a price that is right for your item.

Pricing an item can be tough! Agreed that sentimental value of a sale piece is worth more to the owner than to anyone else, that should not dictate price. If it is worth more to you than you could put a competitive sale price on, you may have a hard time selling it. Consult the internet and see what price the same or similar items are selling for and price your item accordingly. Offering free shipping is one way to add value to the item.

The conditon of the item for sale plays a key role in proper pricing. There are instances where someone may be looking for parts for the same item you have for sale and will buy your defective or inferior item at a discount just because they want those parts. So don't be wary of posting items that are defective, just be sure to state what is defective and that the sale is for parts only.

Know what the item weighs and its shipping proportions. If the item is heavy or bulky, have the customer contact you before you decide to come up with an agreed-on shipping price. Online shipping calculators are offered from all the major shipping companies including UPS, FEDEX and USPS.
